This place has been a staple for my friends and I all throughout middle school and high school. We are all suckers for the $1 tacos on Mondays. I always get both hard and soft shells, as they're both tasty in their own particular ways. I may be partial to the hard shell tacos and the chicken. The only recommendation I can make is that they use a little less juice for their meat. When you take a bite, juice is bound to drop out of the taco making for a little mess. To be honest, this isn't even too big of a concern for me since I think the excess juice adds flavor and tenderness; again, it's just a little messy. I think the queso, and I mean the actual shredded queso cheese really makes the tacos. You can really taste the flavor it adds. That being said, the queso sauce is also very delicious. It is a tad watery, but it still had ample flavor. Service had always been good and fun, and food comes quick. This is a great place to practice your Spanish, as most employees are Spanish speaking.

I've regrettably have to change my review from a five star to a three. After several failed to go orders I just can't pretend they are worthy of a five star anymore. We love their food and we think the individuals working here are amazing. But our last four to go orders were wrong, missing items and just disappointing. On two occasions we were missing our cheese dip for our chips. Since I specifically asked for it, paid extra for it, it should have been in the bag. On two occasions now my husbands combination had been wrong. I ordered by number off the online menu but what I ordered and what he got were totally different. Tonight for example was a complete miss. I ordered via phone. It was 8:15 on a Saturday night. I had to call 3 times before anyone answered. After several rings it went to an automated message saying the person I had dialed was unavailable. When they picked up I ordered a combination that had two crunchy tacos, beans and rice. I specifically asked for no lettuce on the tacos. I ordered a chicken fajita salad and an order of cheese dip. When I went to pick it up they were really really busy. Their employees were scurrying around busily. My order came out to me and I left. I didn't check it because it's hard to see as everything comes in tin and styrofoam containers. I was relieved to see my cheese was there though. We drove home and unpacked our food. We got the salsa, cheese, chips, fajita salad and not the combination dinner I ordered for my husband. Instead of two tacos, rice and beans he got a taco, enchilada and burrito. Plus the taco had lettuce on it. The cheese dip was so watery tonight it wasn't worth eating and my salad was ordered with chicken but came with steak. I'm not one to complain. After all I kept them at a five star after they had messed up my order three previous times. But tonight just reaffirmed that it just wasn't worth it. If we're going to eat amigos we will have to go there which can be hard to do with a two year old. Plus it's cheaper to bring home and not have to pay for drinks or as large of a tip. I'm disappointed.

Very nice staff, but the food is just adequate. Everything was smothered in cheese (even when ordered with no cheese), the steak in the steak tacos was fatty, and the chips were stale. We were given a complimentary fried ice cream to make up for mistakes that were made, but 5 out of 6 in our party said they would not return.

Starting from the entry to leaving out... The whole experience was amazing as compared to other restaurants. We were greeted by the manager who was very nice to us. Then another man came and sang a mexican song for us. Then the manager gave us FREE tequila shots. The food was delicious too. Overall this is what you will/should expect in a decent restaurant.

This was our first time visiting Amigos. We had a "buy one, get one free" coupon. Food was good, but chips and salsa tasted like cardboard and tomato juice. After eating, our nice waitress said we could not use the coupon because we arrived after 12:00. Must have been in the REAL FINE print. But, she could give us 15% off. Don't know if that was for one meal or two. When the check came, nothing was taken off the total. We still tipped the waitress well and chalked the whole thing up to experience.

Good order by number combo tex-mex place. Look for coupons (they are in everything) and go enjoy yourself on Monday for $.99 tacos. Great staff.

Ate at Amingos for the first time and sadly wasn't impressed. I got the fajitas and they had a mound of vegetables fit for two people with almost no meat. Hopefully other menu items are better.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
